See classic trucks and earliest cars

CLASSIC trucks will be the focus of the next show at Gaydon’s Heritage Motor Centre, which is also preparing to take visitors back to the earliest days of motoring.

The museum will be hosting the Retro Truck Show on Sunday September 16. The show is organised by enthusiasts for lorries built between 1960 and 2000 and includes a ‘best truck’ competition voted for by visitors, an indoor model show and a collection of more than 200 of the best classic show trucks in the UK. Adult tickets cost £11 in advance or £14 on the day, £5 or £8 on the day for children and £30 or £40 for a family ticket. Call 645029 Monday to Friday 10am to 5pm.

Schoolchildren will be able to relive the earliest days of motoring at Victorians on the Move from October 2 to 5. The display celebrates the birth of the motor car in Britain and is designed to complement the study of the Victorian period for primary schools.
