Olive joins Woodward on the Edmondscote sidelines
Leamington C&AC unveiled a bench in memory of former coach Brian Olive at the recent UK Athletics Development League Meeting.
This is the second such bench to be sited at the Edmondscote track, with the first in honour of ultra distance world record holder Cavin Woodward.
Olive, who died in 2013, was an administrator, committee member and team manager at the club in addition to guiding several national, Midlands and county champions.
One of those, Les Barnett, said Olive “would be embarrassed beyond understanding to think that so many would contribute to the bench in his memory”.
