The PudShoot was held in Rugby at the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Centre this year.

The archery and crossbow event attracted shooters from Rugby Sport for the Disabled, Derby, Leicestershire and Cheshire.

Half the competitors had not shot in a competition before, so it was good experience in relaxed conditions.

The event was organised by the National Crossbow Federation of GB and Sponsored by Rugby Sport for the Disabled.

The Rotary Club of Rugby donated the Christmas puddings and their President, Rotarian Sue Maguire, presented a pud and a certificate to each competitor. Rotary members also helped with the setting up and scoring all day.

The results of RSDA members, out of 600 were:-

Bare Bow: Valerie Boulter 87 retired. Recurve: David Levine 291, Michael Bond 483, Alex Meacham 492.

Sport Crossbow: Dawn Heales 590, Graeme Mooney 591. Target Crossbow: Iris Bingham 594.
