RUGBY: Saints extend unbeaten league record with bonus-point win over Stoke Old Boys
After the disappointment of the cup defeat the previous week, Saints bounced back with a bonus-point victory to maintain their unbeaten league record despite having to make several late changes.

Hide AdSaints forwards again laid a solid foundation and a big drive from them resulted in the opening with Kalum Goodfellow breaking from a maul to power his way over, Will Morgan adding the conversion.
The returning Kyle Bratt, on as an early replacement, claimed the second try with a powerful run with Morgan again converting.
Saints were on top but Stoke were defending aggressively and as half time approached scored a converted try and penalty.
Saints started the second half strongly and scrum half Dave Rudd sniped through for a try. Stoke hit back with a penalty to keep in touch.

Hide AdSaints kicked a penalty to touch and with Stoke expecting the catch and drive didn’t commit to the maul, allowing a quick thinking Scott Randall to turn and stroll through the Stoke defence to claim a try.
Again, Stoke hit back with a penalty but the final quarter belonged to Saints as Stoke began to tire.
Dave Rudd crossed for a second try and with Saints’ forwards driving for the score a quick long flat pass found Will Headley whose running line took him over for a try untouched, again converted by Morgan.
With five minutes remaining Saints crossed for their seventh and final score of the afternoon.

Hide AdAnother penalty was kicked to the corner and after a clean catch the pack drove over for a try for Kyle Bratt.
Saints face a trip to Alcester this week as they look to continue their good run. This is always a difficult place to go to and Alcester have already claimed a notable home win this season with a defeat of Old Coventrians in their last home match.
