Saints forwards again laid a solid foundation and a big drive from them resulted in the opening with Kalum Goodfellow breaking from a maul to power his way over, Will Morgan adding the conversion.

The returning Kyle Bratt, on as an early replacement, claimed the second try with a powerful run with Morgan again converting.

Saints were on top but Stoke were defending aggressively and as half time approached scored a converted try and penalty.

Saints started the second half strongly and scrum half Dave Rudd sniped through for a try. Stoke hit back with a penalty to keep in touch.

Saints kicked a penalty to touch and with Stoke expecting the catch and drive didn’t commit to the maul, allowing a quick thinking Scott Randall to turn and stroll through the Stoke defence to claim a try.

Again, Stoke hit back with a penalty but the final quarter belonged to Saints as Stoke began to tire.

Dave Rudd crossed for a second try and with Saints’ forwards driving for the score a quick long flat pass found Will Headley whose running line took him over for a try untouched, again converted by Morgan.

With five minutes remaining Saints crossed for their seventh and final score of the afternoon.

Saints face a trip to Alcester this week as they look to continue their good run. This is always a difficult place to go to and Alcester have already claimed a notable home win this season with a defeat of Old Coventrians in their last home match.
