Princethorpe net fifth successive title

Princethorpe College’s under-18 squad dominated the National Independent Schools’ Association’s netball tournament at Rugby School to win it for the fifth successive year.

The squad went through their round-robin matches against Bolitho School, LVS, Ibstock Place School and Hipperholme School unbeaten, scoring 101 goals during the tournament.

PE teacher Louise Harrison praised the discipline showed by the squad.

“The girls played the best they have played all season,” said Harrison.

“We were against unknown opposition, with teams having come from Cornwall, Hull and across the country.

“I was particularly impressed with our discipline and skills shown.

“This is a fantastic way to round off what has been a terrific season.”
