Royals kick off in Dragons’ Den

Leamington Royals begin life in the Midlands Premier Division tomorrow with a trip to Coventry Dragons.

Royals have retained the bulk of their squad and coach Ash Howlett is confident his side can carry on the momentum gained from last season’s promotion-winning campaign.

“Recruitment has been good with several new faces set to debut against Coventry,” said Howlett. “One player who the club are excited about is hard-hitting centre Andy Morrison who joins from Derby University after representing the Midlands for the past three years.”

 Royals’ senior and under-16 players train on Wednesday evenings at Whitnash Sports and Social Club (7pm).
