Smart youngsters are stars
Division One side, Leamington Swimming Club, finished in the top five of the Junior League and earned a place in the prestigious final at Wolverhampton.
Sporting a new kit sponsored by Babyliss, which won Leamington the trophy for the best turned out club, it was their nine-year-old’s outstanding performance in the freestyle relay which stole the night. Louis McAuliffe, Jason Herbert, Lucas Brain and Tom Lee-Brown (pictured) stormed to victory ahead of the big city clubs in the region and clocked up an impressive new league record of 1.06.91.
