Southam’s Line is on an upward curve

Instructor Nicola Line led from the front as Southam Tae Kwon-Do recorded a string of excellent results at the Midlands Championships in Kettering.

Line, who is representing England in the US Goodwill Championships in Texas on July 23 and 24, took first place in the ladies’ black belt.

Jen Moya also picked up gold in the girls’ yellow belt ahead of teammate Eleonor Smith, who was taking part in her first competition.

Debutant Thomas McKenzie was third in the boys’ tag team, while Alex Smith was third in the boys’ yellow belt sparring.

Line runs Southam Tae Kwon-Do with husband Bill, with the 5th dan black belts holding classes every Tuesday and Thursday (7pm to 8pm) at Southam College.
