Danny King is to lead Coventry Bees in 2017
Promoter Mick Horton and new Team Manager Jim Lynch made him their first signing and immediately made him captain after the departure of Chris Harris.
Joining King at the top end of the team is Kenneth Bjerre who returns after a year’s absence from British Speedway. His last team was King’s Lynn but before that he spent many years at Peterborough and links up again with former Panther’s Team Manager Lynch.

Hide AdKing comes in on a 9.57 average with Bjerre on 8.22. This leaves Bees with 32.21 points to play with when recruiting the other five. There appears to be ample for a third heat leader and further signings are expected soon.
Harris has joined top league newcomers Rye House and joins Scott Nicholls and Stuart Robson in a team that has a distinctive ex-Bees look.
Rye House are joined in the newly named Premier League by Somerset. The League has, however, already lost Lakeside and with still slight uncertaincy over Leicester and Belle Vue, the exact composition of the league is still to be confirmed.
