Coventry Buildbase Bees open their 2016 Elite League campaign with a double Easter clash with near neighbours Leicester. This takes place at Brandon on March 25, with the return at the reshaped Leicester circuit 24 hours later.

Before this the Brandon opener sees Bees facing Poole in the second leg of the Elite Shield on Friday, March 18, the first leg at Poole being staged two days earlier.

Sunday, March 20 is a big day for Chris Harris when he attempts a second staging of his testimonial meeting.

He has already pulled off a major coup by getting Grand Prix star Nicki Pedersen to make one of his rare appearances in England.

Also due to appear are former Bees team mates Andreas Jonson, Rory Schlein, Kyle Howarth, Edward Kennett and Kenneth Hansen.

The main event will start at 2pm but will be preceded by racing between top British youngsters.

It is hoped to run a coach to King’s Lynn for the BEN Fund Individual Bonanza on Saturday, March 12. Departure time will be about 12noon and further details can be obtained by telephoning (01788) 562132.
