Telford School dominate opening cross country race

A beautiful morning greeted runners at Southam College on Saturday for the opening race of the Mid-Warwickshire Primary Schools’ Cross Country League.

The flat, two-lap course introduced competitive running to most of the runners, with Telford winning both the team events.

Elise Edgar (St Margaret’s) and Max Zwarteveen (Telford) were the individual winners, with Zwarteveen edging a thrilling three-way sprint in the boys’ event.
