Twin sporting success for Crackley Hall

Crackley Hall School’s swimming and hockey teams both triumphed in Midlands sporting fixtures recently.

Georgina Mitchell and Mollie Dibb were jointly crowned outstanding swimmers at the Independent Schools’ Association’s Midlands Gala at Walsall Baths.

The two Year 6 girls enjoyed a clean sweep in the individual events with Dibb taking the breaststroke, butterfly and fastest qualifier in the freestyle and Mitchell taking gold in the backstroke and freestyle.

Both swimmers will now go on to represent the Midlands in the ISA National Championships later this month at the City of Coventry Baths.

A further success on the hockey pitch saw Crackley win the Midlands ISA mixed hockey tournament for the third consecutive year.

Player-of-the-day Matthew Rush scored seven goals in six games, with his flick finish in the final seeing off Salterford House, while solid defending meant goalkeeper Callum Doust was beaten just once in the tournament.
