A comfortable first-round win pitted him against London and despite his rival crossing the line first, he was disqualified for going too quick for his dial-in time (handicap), handing the rookie title to Anslow.

The Leamington man than faced Stephenson and buoyed by a superb reaction time of 0.09sec, went on to win the final in 15.54sec (83mph ave).

“It has been a great season and winning two titles is a dream,” said Anslow.

“I would like to thank all at Lowlife VeeDub Club here in Leamington with a special mention to Marc Lord and Shelly Clarke for sponsoring me and Lyell Holdsworth for all his help working on the car.”
