Aslef announce new 24 hour strike - here’s when workers will walk out

These are the train services that have been reduced or cancelled amid the corona...

Unsuspecting passengers waiting for a Cross Country service for Newcastle are treated to an evocative sight at Leamington Spa on 6 April 2013 as GWR 4-6-0 Castle Class number 5043 "Earl of Mount Edgcumbe" recreates a scene synonymous with the station in the 1950's and early 1960's. Complete with "The Inter-City" headboard the train was a fleeting reminder of the crack Birkenhead to London Paddington services that operated through Leamington Spa usually hauled hauled by both "King'" and "Castle" locomotives. The Marylebone Flyer, as this train was advertised, was a charter and was timed to complete the journey from Birmingham Moor Street to London Marylebone in just two hours.

Passengers treated to a nostalgic rail scene
