Find it, peruse it and buy it in town’s ‘mini library’

BOOKWORMS have the chance of a riveting good read when they visit a Kenilworth charity shop.

More than 400 books are on offer in the new book studio at the Headway shop in The Square, Warwick Road.

Featuring fiction and non-fiction and with prices starting from 75p, the new addition has become very popular, said shop manager Malcolm Boote.

People who come in say how easy it is to find what interests them because the books are in alphabetical and subject order,” said Malcom.

“It’s become a talking point for those who donate their books to charity shops. It’s like a mini library”

Book lovers can also sit down to peruse any item before deciding to purchase.

The book department comes under the charge of shop volunteer David Hardy, who lives in Kenilworth, and who has worked at the shop since December.

Malcolm said: “All the volunteers have worked extremely hard for the opening of the book department.”

The book studio also contains a music section offering records, tapes and CDs.

Headway is a national charity which supports people with brain injuries and their families.
