Spooky goings on at Warwickshire motor centre

THE Heritage Motor Centre is inviting families to enjoy model planes, creepy crafts, and more during the forthcoming half term.

With the half term coinciding with Halloween, the centre in Gaydon is also organising a themed museum trail for children and family craft activities including making spooky pom-pom bats and bean-bag witches on Tuesday October 30.

Then, as part of the National Big Draw campaign, the motor centre is encouraging families to come along and ‘doodle, draw, stick, paint and create’ on Thursday November 1.

Children will also have the opportunity to use their imagination to produce their own works of art.

This year the HMC is including ‘Doodle Doors’, cut-out 3D Minis, Land Rovers and the chance for children and parents to contribute their artistic flair to the half scale Land Rover model.

Activities are free but normal museum admission applies.

The Large Model Aircraft Show, organised by the Large Model Association, will return to the motor centre on Sunday 28.

This exciting family show offers visitors the chance to view over 100 large static radio controlled model aircraft built by dedicated enthusiasts.

There will also be a huge trade area offering everything from miniature propellers to small jet engines and pre-assembled models - everything you would need to make a flying start in a new hobby.

Penny Tyler, marketing officer for the motor centre, said: “With more than 200 historic British cars on display, plus interactive zones and cars you can climb in, the Big Draw, Creepy Crafts and a museum trail plus the Large Model Aircraft Show, there is plenty to entertain the entire family this half term.”
