Les Dennis enjoys some new roles - and he’s coming to Coventry
So said the 60-year-old actor when he spoke to the Courier ahead of starring in the forthcoming crime thriller The Perfect Murder at the Belgrade Theatre in Coventry next week.
The role in this stage adaptation of the Peter James novel comes ahead of Les’s first appearance in Coronation Street next month - which he said he is “very excited” about.

“Because I am so well known for the game show hosting, some people come along to the theatre and are surprised because they don’t know that I can act.
“The biggest compliment I can get is when people say that within five minutes, they forgot that it’s Les Dennis.”
And, five weeks into The Perfect Murder tour, Les is really enjoying the audience’s reactions. He said: “You can see that they are enthralled and finding it funny as well - it is a black comedy. There is no fidgeting in seats. You do live theatre for the immediacy of the audience’s reactions - it’s feedback straight away.”
