Warwick talent stars in Britpop compilation

Warwick guitarist Jimmy Lapworth has been selected as one of ten artists to feature alongside the likes of Edwyn Collins and Shed Seven on a new Britpop compilation.

Jimmy, who plays and sings with the Warwick band Rosetta Fire, created his own interpretation of the Stone Roses classic Love Spreads, which was chosen by music and culture ‘zine’ God Is In The TV. Other acts to feature include Sleeper, Edwyn Collins, Kenickie, Baby Bird and Shed Seven.

Rosetta Fire are playing at the Whitefriars Festival at Whitefriars Ale House in Coventry tonight (April 19) and at the same venue on May 4. Further upcoming gigs include at MayCafé vin Cinq acoustic night in Rugby on May 8 and at the Zephyr Lounge in Leamington on May 20.
