Leamington Art Gallery & Museum: Opening of Terry Frost: A Leamington Lad, an exhibition running until October 11.

Compton Verney, until September 4: Compton Verney has crafty activities to keep the kids creative throughout the summer holidays. There will be the chance to join in with giant collaborative creations, make mini models and imagine your own stories about the art at Compton Verney’s . The Continuous Stitch exhibition at the ArtsTrail Studio,Russell Street, Leamington is displaying work created by the Leamington & District Embroiderers’ Guild. Until August 30.

Deasil Art Gallery at 44 Oxford Street has curated an exhibition which shows some of the different sides of Warwickshire. Work by first time exhibitor Benjamin Penrose captures the architecture of Leamington terraced buildings, while the show alsp includes floral images, painting, photographic prints and monoprints from artists from across the UK. Until August 20.

The ever popular Battle Proms Picnic Concert will return to Ragley Hall o. Visitors can enjoy asublime classical music, carefully choreographed Spitfire and cavalry displays, dramatic cannon fire and a stunning firework finale overlooking the lake. Gates open at 4pm, entertainment begins from 5.50pm and the event finishes at 10pm. Adult tickets cost £36 if booked until the day before the concert and £40 on the day of concert (subject to availability). Leamington’s annual Mela festival takes place in the Pump Room Gardens from 12 noon to 6pm.

The festival is open to everyone and is free of charge for all to attend.

There will be musicians and dancers performing at the event, as well as various stalls and children’s rides. proceedings from a raffle will go to a nominated charity.

Thousands of BMWs will converge at the Heritage Motor Centre in Gaydon when it hosts the annual BMW Car Club Festival. The focal point of the event will be the arena, where there will be a master of ceremonies, Steve Deeks. Other activities will include radio controlled cars, tombola, wheel changing challenge and special ‘show only’ promotions.

A fresh telling of the story of Richard III comes to Warwick. Uncle Richard is written by Leamington playwright Richard ES Cooper and presented by award-winning company Tell Tale Theatre. The Blues at Broom Hill Festival is set to delight a crowd of music lovers this month when it returns to rolling countryside on the Warwickshire/Oxfordshire border for a third consecutive year. The festival has an American theme for 2015, and features a varied line-up of music artists who reflect the influence American music has around the world.

The past, present and future of the WI is explored in a witty and fast-paced production coming to tting of Foundry Wood in Leamington. Raising Agents is set around Bunnington WI, a branch that is a bit down-at-heel. Dwindling membership means they can barely afford the hall, let alone a decent speaker. So when a PR guru becomes a member, the women are glad of new blood – initially.

The show has a strong musical element, and the original music has been composed by female duo O’Hooley and Tidow, who are award winning musicians and song-writers, recently nominated as ‘best duo’ for BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards.

The show is presented by theatre company Mikron and will be held from 3pm. There is no need to buy a ticket as a collection will be taken by the company after the performance. Foundry Wood can be found off Princes Drive. Bring your own chairs, blankets and picnics.

The nostalgic Buses Festival is to return to the Heritage Motor Centre in Gaydon for the enjoyment of bus and coach enthusiasts.
