Bridgestone has propelled the fundraising efforts of the Air Ambulance service, after donating £10,000 to become the sponsors of a hugely popular summer event.

The Leamington-based brand’s motorcycle division has made the gesture to position its name alongside the Rescue Ride Out on August 18, a nationwide bike convoy from all corners of the UK.

The stunning two-wheel spectacle will culminate at the Brackley Festival of Motorcycling.

All proceeds will go to the Warwickshire & Northamptonshire Air Ambulance, the Derbyshire, Leicestershire & Rutland Air Ambulance services and the Children’s Air Ambulance - a new service which will transfer critically ill children and babies to specialist centres across England so that they can receive lifesaving treatment.

Jo Payne, special projects manager for the air ambulance, said: “Bridgestone’s support is absolutely huge for us..”

Each rider will pay £10 to take part in the event, with all proceeds going directly to the charity. Riders can find out more on www.theairambulanceservice.org.uk/rideout or by phoning 08454 130 999.
