Land deal agreed for final part of major housing development in Rugby
A land deal has been agreed for the final part of a major housing development in Rugby.
It has been confirmed that the sale of the final residential phases at Rugby Gateway has been made to Bloor Homes.
Planning approval has been given for 550 homes, which is the last part of the development.
Mather Jamie has acted for the private landowning family, providing strategic property advice and negotiating the sale of each residential phase as the scheme has progressed.

There have been some minor tweaks to the Bloor Homes application to build 550 homes on Eden Park, which forms the next residential development parcel on Eden Park.
The development will be accessed via Lower Lodge Avenue.
Construction traffic is being directed through the new entrance off Leicester Road.
The alterations - which include changes to house types and the installation of a replacement hedgerow - can be found here: https://planning.agileapplications.co.uk/.../applic.../42029
Alongside the homes, the development also includes sports pitches.
The original planning application for Rugby Gateway was submitted in 2010, with construction beginning on the first phases in 2012.
Previous land sales have enabled both Bloor Homes and CALA Homes to deliver housing across the site.
It will eventually see more 1,300 homes built alongside the already up-and-running primary school and nursery.
Dave Bignell, Divisional Land Director at Bloor Homes, said: “We have worked closely with Mather Jamie throughout the transaction and look forward to progressing the scheme.”
