Rural businesses can still apply for loans to expand

Loans to help businesses in rural Warwickshire who cannot source finance elsewhere, are being offered by Coventry and Warwickshire Reinvestment Trust (CWRT) to help businesses expand.

The current phase of the Rural Growth Network Fund, funded by Warwickshire County Council and DEFRA, closes on March 31, but there is still time for businesses to apply. However they are being urged to act quickly as it takes a while for each application to be processed.

Mike Musson, chief executive of CWRT said: “Ideally we need to have disbursed all of this phase of the fund by the end of March, so we urge any business in rural Warwickshire that needs money to expand, to contact us as soon as possible.

“This is not the only fund we have available to help local businesses.

“We can consider an application from any business in the area, and this includes people who want to start a business and are looking for funds to set up.

“Many businesses in the area have already been helped by us, so just because a bank won’t lend, doesn’t mean we won’t consider your application. We can offer a range of loans, smaller for start-up businesses to much larger ones for established companies.”
