Appeal for witnesses to fatal crash in Warwickshire

An 80-year-old man died following a crash in south Warwickshire - and police are appealing for witnesses to the incident.

The collision, involving a red Peugeot 406 and a horse, occurred in Shepherd Street in Marton on Sunday December 8 at about 8.20pm.

The 80-year-old driver was taken to the University Hospital in Coventry, but he died there four days later.

Officers investigating the incident would like to hear from anyone who witnessed it or saw the car and the manner in which it was being driven before the collision occurred.

Anyone with information is asked to call 101 and ask to speak to PC David King in the Operations Policing Unit at Rugby.
