Warwickshire Police are appealing for two witnesses to come forward in connection with the serious assault at a car boot sale.

As we reported ealier this week, a man was left with bleeding to the brain after he was punched during a dispute over a car roof box at a car boot sale in Lea Marston on May 12.

Officers believe a man and a woman witnessed the attack and they want to speak to them.

Warwickshire Police said the man is described as a white male aged between 20 and 30 years old and approximately 5ft 9in tall.

"The man is of a muscular build with a big, red-coloured beard and a sleeve-style tattoo on his left arm," they added.

"He was wearing a black Nike hat with white logo, a white t-short, black jeans, and white shoes, and would have been carrying a large black car roof box.

"Witnesses say he spoke with an eastern European accent, possibly Polish.

"The man was reportedly present with a blonde female around 20-25 years old of a slim build and around or under 5ft 2in in height."

DI Sartoris said “We are very keen to speak to these two people so we can get a clear and full understanding of the events which led to a man being hospitalised with a brain injury.

“If anyone can help us locate or identify them, let us know as soon as possible.”
