Fair held to raise money for SCBU

A WARWICK pub held a medieval-themed Christmas fair to raise money for a hospital unit which took care of the youngest member of its community.

Scarlett Hammond was born seven weeks prematurely on July 21 and spent 17 days at Warwick Hospital’s Special Care Baby Unit (SCBU) before she was transferred to Birmingham Children’s Hospital and later Great Ormond Street Hospital where she had treatment for hyperinsulinism.

Scarlett’s father Matt is friends with Dennis Percy and his partner Ev Riches who run The Antelope Inn in Saltisford and to thank SCBU the Antelope Ladies, a group of women who organise various fundraising events at the pub, decided to hold the fair in aid of the unit.
