Club president Graham Snape recently presented Myton Hospices and Fight for Sight with cheques for the amount.

The money was raised through the club’s Celebrity Speaker Dinner in March when the speaker was Ronnie Sampson CBE, one-time Deputy Governor of the Falkland Islands, and from the club’s Golf Day at Stoneleigh Deer Park in May.

Mr Snape congratulated Warwickshire Fight for Sight committee chairman Debbie White for her efforts to raise £26,000 for the charity since last September.

The donation to Myton added to the £3,500 already received from the Rotary club’s Leamington and Whitnash Trees of Light campaign last Christmas.
