Burglar targets Leamington shop that helps vulnerable women during broad daylight raid
A Leamington organisation dedicated to helping vulnerable women across Warwickshire has been left saddened after its shop was broken into in broad daylight.
On Sunday (October 25), the Esther Project’s preloved shop in Gloucester Street was broken into at around 10am and the till float was stolen.

The Community Interest Company has been appealing for the public’s help in identifying someone caught on the shop’s CCTV.
Although they are keen to track down the person with the police, the organisation said it would also like to help the person who stole from them.

A spokesperson from The Esther Project said: “We are a Leamington organisation, helping local women to rebuild their lives following trauma.
“Our preloved shop on Gloucester Street is a way to generate an income, but just as importantly, is a place in which people are welcome, safe and supported.
“We care deeply about our community.
“It’s sad to see that someone has found themselves in a situation so desperate that they are prepared to break into our much-loved shop, in broad daylight, for the sake of a small cash float.

“If anyone can identify the person in question we'd be grateful.
“Above all we hope that this person can reach the support that they need to heal, and that we can continue to provide safety and support for local women.”
