Community supports second Barford Apple Day

Residents and visitors in Barford once again supported the Barford Apple Day when it returned for its second year.

Last Saturday (October 17), the community gathered for the apple day at Barford Memorial Hall from 12pm to 6pm, which showcased local produce, traditional skills and community spirit.

The event was organised by Greg Williams and Gem Douglas of Black Cat Cidery, who brought together apple enthusiasts, families and local supporters for a day centred on the humble apple and the craft of cider-making.

During the day, there was apple pressing demonstrations, juice tasting and the opportunity for people to press their own apples.
