The bishops of both Warwick and Coventry showed their support for the Black Lives Matter movement yesterday (Monday June 8).

The Right Reverend Dr Christopher Cocksworth (Bishop of Coventry) and the Right Reverend John Stroyan (Bishop of Warwick) 'took the knee' in front of the Charred Cross in the Cathedral Ruins to mark two weeks since the death of George Floyd in the USA.

Before kneeling for eight minutes and 46 seconds (the length of time a US police officer knelt on George Floyd's neck), the Bishops recited the Coventry Litany of Reconciliation.
