Since then she has gone on to run cooking classes across the Warwick district but because of the Covid-19 pandemic she has had to adapt.

Anne Marie said: "I normally run my evening group classes at St Chad’s in Bishop’s Tachbrook, my reducing isolation and cooking on a budget in the community classes at Whitnash Community Cafe and Acorn Close in Lillington.

"I also hold private lessons, parties and workshops at my home or in other people’s houses or venues.

"I run a variety of classes from budget basic store cupboard essentials to making from scratch pasta, bread, sushi and other fakeaways from around the world to show how you can make healthier tastier versions of your favourite takeaway dishes. I also provide baking classes.

"The coronavirus outbreak has affected me in every way as I usually teach face to face and I have been inundated for requests of help to show how to make simple dishes and how to use certain ingredients.

"I have been providing support in my Facebook group, producing live facebook features and providing free Zoom cooking lessons over the last two weeks for anyone wanting to do something with the family or individuals stuck on their own so they have a bit of company and a bit of a laugh at the same time.

"I am also putting all my workshops and regular lessons on line too, which are available to purchase. Virtual cooking parties aimed at friend and work colleagues who want to socialise in a fun way will also be available."

Anne Marie is hoping her classes will provide people an opportunity to learn some skills themselves or to help teach their children.

She said: "Take this opportunity to cook or teach your children to cook from scratch, it is chance for you to connect with other family members, with no rushing or excuses and have a bit of a laugh too or if you are on your own chance to connect with some friendly faces.

"I really hope families embrace this time to enjoy cooking and see it as an activity to relax and not an activity to endure.

"Cooking does not have to be complicated to taste good, start simple so you don’t get disheartened if it goes slightly wrong and finally don’t be a perfectionist it’s not Masterchef.

The free Zoom sessions are open to everyone and will run Monday and Friday at 12pm from April 21.
