New Solihull laser clinic brings a different approach to tattoo and hair removal

A new independent laser clinic has opened near Solihull, offering advanced laser tattoo removal and laser hair removal from a unique clinic in Hampton-in-Arden.
Novilunium Laser was founded by husband-and-wife team Ricky and Georgia Oberheim, with the aim of creating a laser clinic that combines high-quality treatment and advanced technology with a more relaxed, welcoming experience.
For Ricky, the idea behind the business is also personal. As a tattoo collector himself, he has undergone more than 30 laser tattoo removal sessions over the years and experienced first-hand just how much the quality of treatment, equipment and overall experience can vary.
That experience helped shape Novilunium.

“Laser tattoo removal doesn't always mean someone regrets having tattoos,” Ricky explains. “A lot of our clients love tattoos. They might want to fade an older piece to make way for a cover-up, remove something that no longer suits them, or simply create space for new work.
“Having been through so many sessions myself, I wanted us to create somewhere that takes the treatment seriously but doesn't necessarily feel like a traditional medical clinic. We wanted Novilunium to have its own personality and to be somewhere people genuinely feel comfortable coming back to.”
The latest technology
The clinic offers both laser tattoo removal and laser hair removal and has invested heavily in specialist laser technology, including the Pico Scorpio picosecond laser for tattoo removal and the Schnelle Ultra for laser hair removal.
The team has also focused on the client experience surrounding the treatment, from detailed consultations and patch testing through to cooling technology and aftercare.
Georgia said: “We wanted to build the kind of clinic we would want to visit ourselves. We know that starting laser treatment can feel like quite a big decision, so consultations are very relaxed. There's no pressure to go ahead and absolutely no judgement – it's an opportunity to meet us, see the clinic and understand what treatment would involve.”

A community setting
Novilunium is based in a converted barn in Hampton-in-Arden, creating a setting deliberately different from the conventional high-street clinic.
Alongside its commercial treatments, the team is also looking at ways the clinic and its equipment can be used to help people within the local community.
Novilunium has recently launched a completely free service to remove the small permanent tattoo dots sometimes used during radiotherapy treatment. The initiative will be covered separately as the clinic looks to raise awareness of the service among cancer patients and local support organisations.
Ricky added: “We're still a new business and we're very much at the beginning of the Novilunium story. Our focus now is on building a great reputation locally and making sure that every person who comes through the door gets the level of care and experience we'd want ourselves.”
Novilunium Laser offers free consultations for laser tattoo removal and laser hair removal.
