The funding will enable the project to deliver more than 60 counselling sessions to people who may otherwise be unable to access these services, helping to remove financial barriers and make support more accessible to those who need it most.

Counselling can play an important role in supporting people’s emotional wellbeing, providing a safe and supportive space to talk through challenges, explore feelings and develop strategies to manage difficult situations. However, the cost of accessing professional support can be a significant barrier for many people.

This funding will help Helping Hands Community Project reach more individuals who might otherwise go without the support they need, ensuring that financial circumstances are less likely to prevent someone from accessing counselling.

The £3,000 award represents a valuable contribution towards the project’s ongoing work to support people in need within the community. By enabling more than 60 additional sessions, the funding will help make a meaningful difference to individuals who could benefit from having someone to talk to in a confidential and supportive environment.

Helping Hands Community Project is grateful to the Heart of England Community Foundation for this award and for helping to make counselling support accessible to more people who need it.
