‘Hooked’ fans can see Peter in Coventry

MUSIC lovers can hear an album that is often described as one of the greatest albums of all time played live in Coventry this autumn.

Peter Hook, the bass player with Joy Division, will be playing the whole of ‘Unknown Pleasures’ with his band The Light at the Kasbah on November 16.

Thanos Staikos, of the Kasbah, said: “In nearly every ‘greatest album of all-time’ poll, Unknown Pleasures is mentioned.

“It was Joy Division’s masterpiece album so this promises to be a very, very popular gig here at the Kasbah.

“Although it never charted that highly, like many, many great albums it was only later that it was fully appreciated and we are delighted to have Peter Hook here playing it live with his band The Light.”

Hook also played with went on to play with, among others, New Order and Monaco.

The show is for over-14s and tickets are priced cost £20.
