Music man to play his piano at Leamington venue

AFTER more than 20 years of performing, singer/songwriter Elio Pace is still going strong.

The pianist blends pop, rhythm and blues, jazz and rock and roll and has developed a strong cult following since he burst onto the scene in 1988.

He first came to public attention when he reached the final of television program Bob Says Opportunity Knocks, which led to subsequent appearance on television and radio including Michael Barrymore’s Saturday Night Out.

His musical journey has been littered with magical moments and along the way he has performed with an impressive catalogue of stars including Brian May, Huey Lewis, Katie Melua, Craig David, and Martha Reeves.

One of his highlights was playing for Hollywood actress Sandra Bullock at her 30th birthday party, at which she got up and sung a duet with him.

Most recently fans will have heard him as the featured artist on BBC Radio 2’s Weekend Wogan throughout 2010.

Pace will be performing at the Spa Centre in Leamington as part of his UK tour on Saturday.
