American comedian brings his latest show to Derngate stage

A comedian who’s voice will be familiar to listeners on BBC Radio Four is coming to the Royal and Derngate on Sunday.

David Sedaris presents his show at Northampton as part of a UK tour.

He could be heard on the hugely popular BBC Radio 4 series Meet David Sedaris and has seen millions of copies of his books sell across the world.

He has also had three sell-out runs in London, two sell-out Edinburgh Fringe Festival stints and a sell-out UK 2014 tour.

The show covers a period in his life in which for two consecutive Christmases in the early 1990s, he was a Christmas elf at Santaland in the famous New York department store Macy’s. These are the extracts from his diaries at the time and this story was given a rare outing on Radio Four.

The show starts at 7.30pm and tickets for the show cost £26.
