Six-figure refurbishment to take place at one of the oldest pubs in Warwickshire
One of Warwickshire’s oldest pubs is set to get a six-figure refurbishment starting from next week.
The Grade II-listed Garrick in Stratford-upon-Avon town centre will be temporarily closed from Monday (September 14) while the works take place, with the pub set to officially reopen its doors in October.
Green King, the company which owns the pub, said: “[The Garrick] will retain all its historic character and quirkiness while some modern-day comforts are added as part of the project”.
“There will be improvements both inside and out to make the most of the pub’s natural features, preserving its heritage while boosting appeal to today’s customers.”

Green King is also the lookout for people to join its team in the pub’s kitchen and bar with full- and part-time job opportunities available.
