Deck the church halls with boughs of holly

A sparkling Christmas is being created in St Mary’s Church, Warwick, where visitors can see 20 beautifully decorated trees from Victorian evening tonight (Thurs) right through to a candlelit advent carol service at 6.30pm on Sunday.

Tomorrow (Fri) children from Newburgh and Westgate primary schools are singing in the church.

There’s also a ‘pop up cafe’ and all those who drop in are being invited to contribute £1 towards voting for their favourite tree.

Volunteer Rachel Pethick says visitors to the historic church are being invited to contribute £1 towards voting for their favourite tree right up until 6.30pm on Sunday (Dec 1) when there will be a candlelit advent carol service.

Early visitors on Friday morning can hear the young choirs and enjoy tea in a pop-up’ cafe.
