Get your pet microchipped this weekend

Hemel Hempstead’s Pets at Home is offering the service at a discounted price on Saturday from 9am to 5pm and Sunday from 11am to 4pm.

Microchipping makes it easier to reunite owners with their pets should they go missing.

When a chip is implanted, it gives the pet a unique code number, which is then stored along with the owner’s details on a national database.

Alison Miller, from the store in London Road, said: “It’s a fool-proof method of keeping your pet safe. So, if you’re concerned about your pet going missing, I’d urge you to come along.”
