Barford pub invites community to party to mark Joseph Arch's 200th birthday
A pub in Barford is inviting the community to a party it is holding to mark the 200th birthday of Joseph Arch.
Laura Dougan, her partner Bradley Pike and her son Harvey Dougan, who took on the Joseph Arch pub in Bridge Street earlier this year, will be hosting the party on Saturday (November 7).

Taking place from 8pm, the event is free to enter and attendees are invited to dress in green or dress up as Joseph Arch.
Joseph Arch (November 10, 1826 – February 12, 1919) was an English trade unionist and Liberal politician, born in Barford.
He played a key role in unionising agricultural workers and in championing their welfare. He also became a Member of Parliament.
Laura said: “As we have only had the pub for seven months, we wanted to hold a celebration to join the whole community together.”
