A new Tesco Express has opened in Kenilworth.

The shop officially opened in Albion Street on Friday October 30 and also includes bakery items, a Costa Coffee machine and InPost lockers.

Store manager Lyn Thorne said: “I’m incredibly excited to open Tesco’s latest store in Kenilworth and manage my first store since joining Tesco.

“With 18 years of management experience and 44 years in retail, I’m looking forward to supporting my colleagues to grow as a team and welcoming both new and familiar faces from our local community to our refreshed store.”

Schools and community projects are encouraged to apply for Tesco’s Free Fruit & Veg for Schools programme, with up to £1,500 in grants available.

Customers can also vote for the good cause they want to support through blue tokens at the checkout.

The shop is also participating in the Community Food Connection scheme, which redistributes surplus food from every Tesco store to charities and community groups at the end of each day.
