Fine dining restaurant at Leamington hotel has been shortlisted for regional tourism award

A fine dining restaurant at a Leamington hotel has been named as a finalist for a regional award.

The Warwick, at The Mallory Court Hotel & Spa, has been shortlisted in the Restaurant of the Year category for the 2027 West Midlands Tourism Awards (WMTA).

Now in their seventh year, the WMTAs celebrate the region’s best accommodation, business, cultural and sporting event venues, food and drink settings, and visitor and heritage attractions.

Seventeen awards are up for grabs this year, including Large Visitor Attraction of the Year, Pub of the Year, Restaurant of the Year, Experience of the Year, and Business Events Venue of the Year.

The finalists in two further award categories - Tourism Event/Festival of the Year and Unsung Hero - will be announced in December.

The winners in all 17 categories will be revealed at a glittering awards ceremony early in the New Year, with more than 250 guests expected to be in attendance.

Gold and silver winners in each category from the WMTAs are automatically put forward for Visit England's National Awards for Excellence, giving West Midlands businesses the chance to earn recognition at a national level.

At the 2026 National Awards for Excellence, two West Midlands venues were recognised; Warwick Conferences won gold for Business Venue of the Year, and Edgbaston Park Hotel won bronze in the Regenerative Tourism Award.

Andrew Lovett OBE, chair of the West Midlands Tourism & Hospitality Advisory Board and CEO of the Black Country Living Museum, said:

"To be recognised among the very best tourism and hospitality businesses in the region is a significant achievement and a testament to the passion, innovation and commitment shown by teams across the West Midlands every day.

"From world-class attractions and venues to outstanding accommodation, restaurants and visitor experiences, and independent family-run businesses, our finalists showcase the breadth and quality of the region's tourism offer.

They play a vital role in attracting visitors, supporting local economies, and helping to tell the story of our places to audiences across the UK and beyond."

The Warwick was launched in 2025 by 2019 MasterChef the Professionals winner Stu Deeley who had already worked at the hotel earlier in his career.
