Harbury couple celebrate their village pub being named among top 30 in Britain on Good Food Guide list
A Harbury couple are celebrating after the village pub they took over the running of 18 months ago has been named among the top 30 in Britain on a prestigious list.
The Crown Inn was placed 26th in the Good Food Guide’s 100 Best Pubs in Britain 2026 - a nationwide annual celebration of the best establishments.
Landlord Dominic and landlady Jo Weeks said despite “not having a whole lot of experience in the industry”, they have “thrown themselves into their first pub and business venture with passion and determination”.
They said they entered into the industry in 2025 "during very hard times” but “were warmly welcomed and supported by the community in Harbury”.

They said: “Placing in the Good Food Guide Top 100 Pubs means the world to us and is a greater achievement than we thought possible after only taking over 18 months ago.
"We’re excited by our inclusion in the list and hope it will help to shine a light on the fantastic produce and community we have here in our little corner of the Warwickshire countryside.”
The Crown Inn, in Crown Street, offers a small, ever-changing menu of seasonal dishes in the restaurant, hot bar snacks in the bar and a weekly changing Sunday roast menu.
Everything is made in-house and the pub bakes fresh bread every day.
Bones are boiled for stocks and sauces, sausages are homemade and potatoes are cut into chips.
Dominic, who is also the pub’s head chef, said: “We’re not trying to reinvent the wheel, but just to do a good job on the simple things and show care and love for everything we create.”
