Cubbington pub 'blown away' by support received over re-opening weekend
The new team at a popular Cubbington pub say they were ‘blown away’ by the support it received from the village over its successful re-opening weekend.
The Kings Head in Church Hill was closed by its previous owner Wayne Quinlan in April following the “sudden and untimely” death of his sister Sharon.
But last month, an announcement was made on the pub’s Facebook page to say it would be re-opening under new management.
The pub re-opened last Thursday (September 29) and the new team posted on the page yesterday (Sunday November 1) to say: “Well, Cubbington, what a weekend.

"We’re genuinely blown away by the support we’ve received since opening on Thursday.
"To everyone who popped in, brought friends and family, shared our posts, sent lovely messages or simply wished us well, thank you.
"It means more than you know.
“We know The King’s Head holds a lot of memories for a lot of people, and we don’t take that lightly.
"Seeing the pub full of life, hearing the laughter and meeting so many of you over the weekend has meant more than you probably realise.
"And a huge thank you to our brilliant team, who’ve worked their socks off to get us here and kept smiling through an incredibly busy first weekend.
"We couldn’t have done it without you.
"We’re only just getting started, but you’ve given us a first weekend we’ll never forget.
“From Matt, Pete and the whole team, thank you Cubbington.”
