Will it be your lucky day? Launch of Kenilworth Advent Calendar
From today (Monday) and throughout November, you can buy SI Kenilworth & District’s first attempt at the ever-popular Kenilworth Advent Calendar, providing you with a chance to win one of four amazing prizes daily from December 1-24, all donated by very generous local business owners.
Look out for our Mayor, Councillor Alison Insley who will officially launch this year’s Calendar on Saturday November 7 and our members who will be in the town every day selling the Advent Calendar for £5, or you can buy them at Kenilworth Books, The Kenilworth Centre, The Tree House Book Shop, Fossato Lounge or the Myton Hospice shop.
A spokesperson for the SI Kenilworth & District said: "If you want to surprise a friend or family member, the calendar is smaller this year so easier to post, or you can send them a virtual calendar from www.kenilworthadventcalendar.co.uk giving them a chance to win the very real Ruby and Diamond star prize from James Moore & Co.
"When SI Kenilworth & District agreed with Kenilworth Rotary Club to take over the calendar this year, we were lucky enough to be very generously sponsored by 10 local firms, who are shown below the Christmas picture of Kenilworth High Street painted by Maddy Towle. "If, as we hope, we manage to make a profit, the money you help us raise will be shared between six very deserving local charities, Compassionate Kenilworth, Talisman Youth Theatre, Priory Youth Theatre, Myton Hospice, Kenilworth Centre and Warwickshire Refuge. So, SI Kenilworth & District look forward to possibly providing you with a lovely December surprise and helping some local causes close to all our hearts."
