New art gallery to open in Leamington this coming weekend
A new art gallery will open in Leamington town centre this coming weekend.
The Runjeet Singh Gallery, at 37 Chandos Street, will be presenting a rotating programme of exhibitions, spotlighting work by artists from the South Asian diaspora.
The opening weekend will take place from Friday (April 24) to Sunday (April 25).
It will deliver a considered programme of solo and group exhibitions throughout the year, alongside participation in art fairs and collaborative
projects.
The gallery’s founder, Runjeet Singh, said: “I’ve been fortunate to work in the art world for the past 12 years.
"During that time, I’ve travelled across the UK as an expert on the BBC’s Antiques Roadshow and exhibited in major international art cities, including London, New York, Paris, Mumbai and Delhi.
“But this is a particularly special moment - opening a gallery in my own hometown and shining a spotlight on our wonderful spa town, and its creative and artistic spirit, makes me incredibly proud.”
