Park Yoga sessions at Ryton Pools Country Park prove popular with record attendees

Park Yoga sessions at Ryton Pools Country Park have proven popular this year with Warwickshire County Council saying some sessions saw record amounts of attendees.

The council said that during one of the free sessions held at the country park in August, 173 people rolled out their yoga mats.

Since the start of the season in May, 3,453 total attendees have been recorded at the sessions held at both Ryton Pools Country Park and Kingsbury Water Park – with an average of 106 people joining each session at Ryton Pools.

Park Yoga first started at Kingsbury Water Park in 2025, and following a successful season expanded to Ryton Pools Country Park this year.

Councillor Darren Cheshire, Warwickshire County Council’s portfolio holder for heritage, culture and environment, said: “It’s been fantastic to see so many people taking part in Park Yoga at our country parks this summer.

“The sessions provide an affordable way for people of all abilities to support their health and wellbeing, while also helping more people discover two of the vibrant green spaces that make Warwickshire so special.”

“With the final session of the season taking place on September 13, there’s still time to give it a go. Whether you’re a regular attendee or have never tried yoga before, we’d love to see you there.”

The final Park Yoga sessions of the 2026 season will take place at 9.30am on Sunday September 13 at both Kingsbury Water Park and Ryton Pools Country Park.

No booking is required, people can simply turn up with a yoga mat or towel and look for the Park Yoga flag.

The Warwickshire Country Parks team said that they hope to welcome Park Yoga back to both parks in May 2027.
