Thousands of families attend Halloween event and pumpkin giveaway in Warwick

To mark half term and Halloween, Warwick Town Council once again organised a week of Halloween activities from Monday October 26 to Saturday October 31.

This year’s theme was pumpkins, and on Tuesday (October 26), a pumpkin trail was launched. There was also a pumpkin giveaway, activities and carriage rides in the market square.

Speaking about the day, a spokesperson from Warwick Town Council said: “Over 500 free pumpkins were given away and thousands of families welcomed to Warwick Town Centre.

“What an incredible way to kick-start our Halloween celebrations.

“The market square was buzzing with families enjoying Halloween games, taking photos with our magical pumpkin carriage and spooky cars, and exploring our Pumpkin Trail around the town.

“It was wonderful to see so many people out enjoying Warwick, supporting our town centre and making memories together.

“A huge thank you to everyone who helped make today such a success.”

They added: “Behind the scenes, Warwick Town Council is a very small team, and an enormous amount of hard work goes into organising events like this.

“From planning and preparation to setting everything up and making sure the day runs smoothly, there is so much that goes on behind the scenes.

“But days like today make all the hard work worthwhile.

“Seeing our town centre full of life, families enjoying themselves and our community coming together is incredibly rewarding.

“Thank you to every family who joined us today, everyone who helped organise the event, and all those who continue to support Warwick and its town centre.”
