Warwick racecourse is gearing up for a busy December, hosting four Christmas Party Nights, the Eventmasters Christmas At The Races meeting on Thursday 11th and one of the most popular meetings of the year, the PricedUp New Year's Eve Raceday at the end of the month.

Feature race on next week's card is the Class 1 eventmasters.co.uk Lady Godiva Mares' Novices' Chase (Listed Race) worth £32,500 and run over a distance of two and a half miles. Last year's race went to Cherie d'Am, who led the field a merry dance with only course winner Telepathique able to keep tabs on her and she was the highlight of a treble on the afternoon for Dan and Harry Skelton.

The first of the seven races, the Larkshill Engineering Fillies' Juvenile Maiden Hurdle over two miles, is at 12.25pm and this is followed by the Heat Your Home With Alpha Maiden Hurdle over two miles and five furlongs. Second most valuable race is the Francesca Garrad Handicap Chase over three miles which, last year, went to New Order, who joined long-time leader Roger Rarebit tuning for home and came right away to win comfortably for Over Norton trainer Charlie Longsdon and jockey David Bass.

The Wrights Of Campden National Hunt Flat Race for conditional and amateur jockeys brings the meeting to a close at 3.25pm.

Alcester-based Skelton is setting a scorching pace in the trainers championship and, on Saturday, landed the richest prize of the day for the third weekend running when Panic Attack took Newbury's £250,000 Coral Gold Cup Handicap Chase. With Le Beau Madrik winning the opening race at Newcastle, Skelton ended the day with 78 winners for the season and prize money winnings of just under £1.7m as he increased his lead over Warwickshire rival Olly Murphy at the top of the table.

Murphy's well-fancied Resplendent Grey was slowly away and made early mistakes in the Newbury race, never getting into contention, but the Wilmcote trainer didn't leave Berkshire empty handed as Booster Bob won the earlier Coral Sir Peter O'Sullivan Memorial Chase.
