Taking place from 30th October to 7th November, 2027, the challenge will take participants on a journey through the heart of Cambodia, exploring traditional villages, rice paddies and the Cambodian jungle, before finishing at the magnificent Angkor Wat, one of the country’s most iconic landmarks.

As part of the trek, participants will explore the stunning landscapes of Phnom Kulen National Park, visit the sacred Kulen Mountain Waterfall and see the Giant Sleeping Buddha carved into the mountaintop. The route will also take in ancient temples, including Ta Prohm, offering participants the opportunity to experience Cambodia’s rich history and culture alongside its natural beauty.

Combining physical challenge with cultural discovery, the trek offers participants the chance to take on a personal challenge while raising money to support people living with life-limiting illnesses across Coventry and Warwickshire.

Natalie Walker, Events and Campaigns Manager at The Myton Hospices, said: “Taking on a challenge like this is a fantastic way to do something incredible for yourself while making a real difference to people in our local community. Every pound raised will help Myton provide expert, compassionate care to people living with life-limiting illnesses, as well as support for their families. We’re incredibly excited to welcome people on this amazing adventure.”

The funds raised will help The Myton Hospices continue to provide specialist palliative and end of life care to patients and support their families. As the only hospice in Coventry and Warwickshire with inpatient beds, Myton plays a vital role in the local community, but faces significant financial challenges in meeting the growing demand for its services.

Every person who takes part in the Cambodia trek and raises money for Myton will help the charity ensure more people can access the care they need, when they need it.

Myton will be holding an open evening on 25th November where you can hear more about the trek, meet some of the team and ask any questions you might have about the challenge. Those interested in taking on the challenge and supporting The Myton Hospices are encouraged to register their interest at www.mytonhospice.org/Trek
