Leamington hotel applies for major 21-room expansion
A Leamington hotel has applied for planning permission, which would see it get a major-21-room expansion.
Turnbrook Limited has applied for planning permission for a two-storey extension to the rear of The Jephson Hotel in Warwick New Road.

If permission is granted by Warwick District Council’s planning committee the hotel would have 21 new rooms added to it.
The application also includes plans for a new rear entrance with reception, car parking and vehicular access, improvements to the Warwick Place entrance and landscaping works.
The application states: "The proposed development seeks to reflect the local area and ensure that the extension does not disrupt the established context whilst still allowing the mass of the original villas to be clearly visible from Warwick Place.
"The proposed development represents a sustainable and appropriate extension to an established hotel in a highly accessible urban location.
"The proposal will support the continued operation and long-term viability of the hotel by providing additional high-quality visitor accommodation and improved accessibility, making efficient use of previously developed land without giving rise to any unacceptable planning impacts.
"Weighing in favour of the proposals are a number of positive effects which will bring social, economic and environmental benefits, which in line with the objectives of the Warwick Local Plan and NPPF requirements, should be afforded significant weight
"Accordingly, there is a clear and compelling case that the principle of development is acceptable, the proposal is therefore policy compliant."
